Introduces zero5 – the world’s first smart furniture lock
Chicago, IL – LifeStyleLock recently unveiled its new “zero5” smart furniture lock. Considered the world’s first smart furniture lock, the zero5 combines 500+ pounds of locking force with smartphone control, Bluetooth (BLE) connectivity, and the potential for integration with a variety of smart home hubs.
“When we surveyed the smart home landscape we realized there was an apparent gap. The technology companies that comprise the smart home ecosystem hadn’t yet delivered a smart, connected furniture lock,” said Don Blust, CEO of LifeStyleLock. “Once we discovered the opportunity we began engineering a solution and made it our mission to disrupt personal property protection the same way that August and Kivo have disrupted the front door lock.”
“Most importantly, we wanted to build something that was truly useful and highly differentiated, something that leveraged our familiarity with electromechanical systems derived from our Touch Automation experience,” Blust said, referring to the company he previously founded, and sold to NCR.
